For most entrepreneurs, consultants, coaches or professional services providers, these are the primary legal documents you will need. There are certain exceptions, such as if you have very non-standard services and/or provide services in a highly regulated area (for example, you are a physician who consults for pharmaceutical companies), you might need additional templates (or customization). Another example would be if you are a software developer and have created commercial software (i.e. just like Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word) that you license to customers without providing any services to them. In this instance, you would also want a software license agreement.

To customize these legal templates, you simply fill in the details where indicated, and they are ready to go. Everything you need to complete will be highlighted in yellow, and we provide the template in Word so you can easily edit it. Plus, each customizable contract template includes a detailed video “walk-through” of the template.

While you are always free to engage a local attorney if you wish, the purpose of our contract templates with video resources and other products is to equip consultants and professional services providers with quality templates that they easily customize themselves and use in their business right away.

The templates are based on US legal principles. While most of the language is applicable in other countries, there are likely some terms which may need localizing.

For most coaches, consultants and professional service providers, the templates should not need any further customization. If your industry is highly regulated (such as medical consulting, or power plant design), then additional customizations might be required.

You can use these templates as soon as you customize them and replace the HTBiz Law branding with you own company logo. The HTBiz Law branding must stay on the original template, but when you customize it for your business, then you should make it be your brand since the Bootcamp is not your attorney.

Each module will walk you through the relevant template, including an explanation of the purpose of the template, the key terms, and the places where you need to customize them to fit your business.

Each Customizable Contract Template with Video Resources will include both a Word format and PDF format download of the relevant template. That way you can easily edit the Word version but you won't risk losing any of the notes and instructions which are safe in the PDF.

The Customizable Contract Templates with Video Resources and other products are specifically designed for people who are not lawyers. Each one presents the information in a “plain English” (as much as possible) business-focused manner.
